Research Computing Center (RCC)

The Research Computing Center (RCC) is an invaluable tool for all scholars at the University, but Digital Studies students in particular can especially benefit from making use of their resources and knowledge for projects and research, with access to GIS/mapping systems and visualization software, as well as advanced supercomputers that can handle vast quantities of data.

Jeffrey Tharsen is the digital humanities computational scientist at the RCC and serves as research and computing expert for digital and computational approaches to humanistic inquiry. Visit the Research Computing Center website to learn more or contact the Center directly at info@rcc.uchicago.edu.
